Our society is sex-obsessed and entirely saturated with pornography. The Internet has opened the door for just about anyone (old and YOUNG) to have access to the most disgusting filth the darker side of man has to offer. Yet, as a nation we are too busy litigating because a handful of people died taking Vioxx.
I read a fantastic article today. Pornography is not a Victimless Crime. If you have not connected the dots on the dangers of pornography, a read of this piece should easily persuade you.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints believe they are Christians. Recently, a post on this blog regarding talk show host Glenn Beck spurred a flurry of comments regarding Mormons and Christianity.
For the record, Mormon doctrine is completely in contradiction with the words written in the Holy Bible. There is more than enough evidence to prove that Joseph Smith was a huckster and fraud, and that the LDS Church is little more than a religious organization built around the lies of man.
For those who are questioning the Mormon church, I challenge you to look very carefully at what the church is teaching. See if it lines up with Scripture. Check out the history of the church. Find out about the many portions of their bible have been changed over the years in order to correct mistakes in what Mormons call "The most perfect book ever written".
This site is an excellent starting place. Mormons in Transition. There are many articles that take a critical look at Mormon History, Joseph Smith, Church Prophecies, Doctrinal Teachings and more. It is an eye-opener for those who have joined the church because of the friendly smiling faces in the commercials. Jesus said there would be many false Christs. There would be those who would persuade people who just wanted their ears tickled.
The LDS Church fits the description of cult, as Jesus described. It adds to the work of Christ. It subtracts from the character of God. It multiplies what is necessary for salvation. And it divides the Word of God wrongly. This cult continues to lure millions down the wrong path. Fortunately, there are Ex-Mormons who have the courage to stand up and tell the truth.
